Uniswap V3 lets liquidity providers concentrate capital inside chosen price ranges. That makes a new-token launch more configurable but also more sensitive to price setup.
Liquidity ranges
A V3 position is active only while the pool price is inside its tick range. When price leaves the range, the position becomes entirely one asset until price returns.
Starting price
A new pool must be initialized at a valid price. Launch contracts often calculate the square-root price from a target token valuation and native-asset reference.
Mint amounts
The position manager may consume less than the maximum desired amounts depending on current price and range. Launch contracts should handle unused assets intentionally.
Fees
Active liquidity earns swap fees. A locked-LP design can route those fees to creator and protocol recipients while keeping the position principal locked.
How to verify the mechanism in practice
Start from the token contract and follow the launch transaction rather than relying on a dashboard label. The transaction logs usually reveal the contracts that received assets, the pool that was initialized and the transfers that created the market. For concentrated-liquidity pools, also inspect the position manager and position owner. For bonding launches, inspect the curve contract and the state or event that defines graduation.
When a wallet predicts a revert, do not treat the warning as cosmetic. Gas estimation and simulation can expose a wrong router ABI, invalid tick, insufficient allowance, expired deadline, impossible minimum output or another contract-level condition. Cancel the transaction, reproduce it with the same calldata using an RPC simulation, and decode the revert before trying again.

- Confirm the exact chain and contract addresses.
- Separate token valuation from real pool liquidity.
- Identify who owns or locks the LP asset.
- Check the fee tier and fee recipients.
- Inspect minimum-output or deadline protections where relevant.
- Use explorer events to confirm that the interface matches onchain state.
